A spooky experiment to learn all about the science of Bernoulli’s Principle with your children this Halloween!
Simply draw an eye on a ping pong ball, hold your hairdryer so the airstream points up vertically and set it to cold. You should be able to levitate the ball in the airstream as the higher pressure from the slower moving air around the ball pushes it to stay inside the fast flowing air. If you are careful you should be able to tilt your hairdryer by a few degrees and watch in awe as the ball is held up against gravity!
