"In this video, we learn to do Salt painting which is really simple and only requires 3 ingredients: glue, salt, and food coloring. In our tutorial, we used food coloring to make our own watercolors and used FINE salt to spread over our design. Now, we did try chunky salt as well, but the bigger salt crystals didn't spread the watercolors as quickly or as smoothly. We totally recommend the fine salt.
Another tip is to draw your design on your canvas or paper before starting. And finally, we also learned that a bigger paintbrush absorbs more watercolor and spreads faster in the salt than a thin paintbrush.
This would be a fun summer craft for kids at camp, in school, or at home. Have fun!"
